The Fitness Center at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex offers a wide variety of health and fitness services. It boasts a 20,000 square foot venue with separate areas for free weights, strength training, cardiovascular equipment, group exercise, and Spinning®, as well as a 160-yard jogging track.

The facility and the exercise programs at the Fitness Center have been designed to provide the optimal level of exercise and enjoyment without compromising the health and safety of the members. Our goal is to provide all members with a safe workout environment and the opportunity to make educated life-style decisions to improve their overall health and quality of life.

Fitness Center Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 5 am-10 pm
Saturday: 8 am-8 pm
Sunday: 10 am-6 pm


General Information

  • Participants may purchase a membership or pay a daily drop-in rate.
  • The Fitness Center has a no jeans policy in addition to the shirts and athletic footwear that must be worn at all times.
  • Shirts and athletic footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Children 12 and under are not permitted to use theFitness Center.
  • Youths, ages 13-15, must be accompanied by a paying adult. The ratio of adult to youth is 1:2.
  • Young adults, between the ages of 16-17, must have a guardian accompany them on their first visit.

    Fitness Center Weight Training
    Exercising with top-of the-line equipment will help you get the best workout possible. With more than 80 pieces of Cybex and Hammer Strength equipment, there's less time spent waiting around and more time pumping iron.

    Cardiovascular Area
    Tune into the wireless entertainment system, and let your mind take a vacation while your body reaps the benefits of cardiovascular training. Choose from elliptical trainers, rowing machines, steppers, treadmills, cycles and more! With over 70 pieces of cardiovascular equipment, there is something for individuals of all fitness levels.


    Exercise Orientation/Intro to Fitness Equipment
    Each Fitness Center member or paid daily drop-in guest may participate in an exercise orientation. You will be taught the proper and preferred use of weight training and cardiovascular equipment to ensure an understanding of basic exercise guidelines. A Fitness Specialist or Personal Trainer will conduct this free service, lasting 45-60 minutes in length. All classes are limited to 5 participants and are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. All interested participants must sign up at the Fitness Center Front Desk on the day of the prescheduled orientation.

    Intro to Fitness Equipment
    Learn to use our cardiovascular equipment and machine weights! Classes offered every:

    Wednesday, 2 pm
    Thursday, 7 pm
    Saturday, 11 am

    FREE to all members and paid drop-ins. Patrons must register at the Fitness Center Front Desk the day of the class. A maximum of 5 participants is allowed and the class is first come, first serve. The class begins promptly at the times listed; latecomers will not be able to participate.
