Programs & Events


The Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex's Youth and Community Events holds a variety of classes, holiday events, Kids Day Out field trips, and Summer Camps. Residents of all ages come to the Complex to enjoy annual events like Hallowfun Night, Black History informational workshops, Mother's Day Pampering, first class vendors exhibits for Christmas shopping and festive summer market place. In addition, specialized classes such as Spanish, drawing and quilting are offered. See upcoming classes and events listing below.

Kids' Day Out: Newseum Museum Trip
Come with us and visit the Newseum, the newest museum in Washington D.C.! Kids will learn the history of news networks and how they operate. This program is open to Prince George's County residents only. Fee increases to $35 within 7 days of the program. Before and after care available for additional fees.

Family Health & Fitness Day
Step up to health! Work out in the fitness center (11 am-2 pm); go water walking (12 noon-2 pm); take a spinning class (12 noon-1 pm) or Zumba dance class (11 am-12 noon); or meet a nutritionist (11 am-2 pm) and learn about healthy eating. Participation in the spinning and Zumba classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. Spinning class is limited to 29 participants and Zumba dance class is limited to 40 participants.

Sportsplex's Children's Center - Sitting Service
Staff in the Children's Center, located on the lower level of the facility, will supervise you child while you work out, swim or participate in a class. Let your child enjoy the newly-installed playground equipment connected to the Children's Center. Parents must remain in the facility while their children are in the Children's Center.
Ages 12 months-12 years
Fee: $3 for 2 hours, or purchase coupon booklet $25 for 10 sessions

Fitness Assessments (by appointment)
This scientific testing format helps determine one's fitness level. It aids in establishing a safe and appropriate exercise-training program while providing baseline information to chart your progress. Two types of assessments are offered - basic and deluxe. Call staff for more information. No drop-ins; please call for an appointment.
Ages 13 & up

Gymnastics Workshops
Looking to do something different with your children? Our gymnastics workshops provide a safe, fun environment for children to play, and are a great way to introduce your child to our gymnastics facility. Adults must accompany children; a maximum of three children admitted with each adult. Registration begins ½-hour prior to workshop start time, and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ages walking-14 years
Fee: $6/child (Adults are FREE and must accompany children.)
